1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Famodular ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Famodular is a modular community center platform that provides tools for group organization including calendars, check-ins, finance tracking, goals, task planning, and more. The Service may integrate with third-party providers such as Plaid (financial data), Google (books), and TMDB (entertainment).

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) for enhanced security.

4. Financial Data

When you connect financial accounts through the Finance module:

• You authorize us to access your financial data through Plaid, Inc.
• Financial data is used solely to provide the Finance module features.
• Access tokens are encrypted at rest and never shared with other users unless you explicitly share accounts with a group.
• You can disconnect financial institutions at any time, which revokes access.
• We are not a financial advisor and the Service does not constitute financial advice.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on the platform. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the Service. Content shared within groups is visible to group members.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious code or content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service

7. Data Deletion and Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon account deletion:

• All your personal data will be permanently deleted
• Third-party connections (Plaid, Apple Calendar) will be revoked
• Group memberships will be removed
• This action is irreversible

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. We do not guarantee the accuracy of financial data retrieved from third-party providers.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
